PRE-SEASONING PROCESS

Before using BÄ€KALON® for the first time, the inside baking pan surfaces must be oiled and allowed to “season” in the oven for 5 to 10 minutes, at normal baking temperature. This seasoning process fills the “valleys” of the porous aluminum oxide surface with oil and ensures that baked products will release easily. Pans must be re-seasoned after oil is removed by washing or baking.

 

LUBRICATE PANS BEFORE EACH USE

Apply a baking pan lubricant to the baking areas of the pan prior to each use. Well-seasoned pans usually do not require as much lubrication as older pans.
